Why parents don't want their children to be vaccinated

To get vaccinated or not?

It is a norm for high income countries to oblige all of their citizen to be vaccinated. It is to make sure the public health is taken care of. Malaysia is one of those country that applies such treatment. Although others do go and get their vaccination, there are a few parents who thought otherwise.

One of the reasons some parents think their children does not need vaccine is because they have this assumption that their children antibody can develop itself and if any vaccine is involved it will only weaken their child immune system.

Moreover, some of them thinks vaccine is a waste of money and time. There are many kinds of vaccination to be undergone by children for many types of disease, for example, Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, and more. Hence, more money would be needed for further vaccination throughout their child’s lives. In order to get vaccination, the parents have to make an appointment with the doctor which will waste an amount of their precious time.

Lastly, several parents have the mind-set that vaccination will only cause more harm than do any good. They have the notion that vaccines have many negative effects as it is clinically engineered and has no natural substances which can cause their children to be sick and whatnot.

Surely everybody thinks what is best for their children and apparently some parents believe that their children do not need vaccination as it is for their own best. Nevertheless, parents should be aware that vaccines are beneficial and will keep their children in pink.

Love,
Sarah.
